Sniffing? Well then, nice to meet you.

Welcome to my domain, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Theo. I am a French Bulldog, and the following are ramblings from my perspective height of ten and a half inches (and, yes, that half inch makes a big difference). I will begin by providing you with a bit of background on myself. I am two years old (in people years), very assertive, very opinionated, very passionate, but also very social and easy-going. I share my space with my sister, Ellie, who balances me out fairly well. As mentioned earlier, I am a French Bulldog, so I am told. As I learn more about the French culture, and the supposed origin of my "breed," the more I realize how very un-French I really am. While I like to hear the French language, I don't understand it all that well. I must admit, I do use the "French" thing to my advantage-- I hear the ladies like it. Anyway, as it turns out, my "breed" descends from the more familiar English Bulldog, which explains why I am writing in English. French, English, whatever. The whole "breed" thing is really just for humans. It is not the nationality that is important, its in what comes after it where I seem to identify most naturally. Bulldog. Not just dog, but Bulldog. Yes, that is it. I'm barrell chested and stout, complete with over-sized joules and plenty of skin folds and wrinkles. Bulldog. Don't be fooled by my seemingly small stature-- I'm as fearless as they come and will bet that on any given day, my persistance will crush your patience. I'm a 100 pound dog, condensed into 22 solid pounds of tough, and the cajones to back it all up (for now, anyway). I can also turn on the charm, and as you may have realized by now, I'm not too bashful to admit it either.

You may be asking yourself, why is this dog writing this blog instead of chasing cats or squirrels, or chewing on something, peeing on something-- a blog? Really? Yes, a blog. If you don't think I've got plenty on my mind, you will soon find out that the only thing that keeps me of day time tv is the fact that I cannot speak in terms that you all can understand. I'm working on that to. What I do know is that there is more than one way to communicate, even with humans. This is one way in which I choose to communicate. Don't put me in a box!

Now that all that the "butt sniffing" is out of the way, on to the weighty matters of this blog. I want to start off by talking about the blog's title. I must admit, it is not entirely original-- in fact, its quite the opposite. I actually got it of a t-shirt. Well, I didn't really get if off a t-shirt, my parents did. They started refering to me as "Le Petite Monstre" so, I thought it appropriate to use as a title. Again, I haven't have time to master the French language, so I'm not quite sure what it means exactly, but I think its something close to "cute little dog". While I don't care for the "little" portion of that title, I figure I have bigger battles.

I'm tired and the sun is in my favorite spot. Ciao for now.
